Please read these terms and conditions of use carefully - this constitutes a condition of use of the site.   By accessing the Bluetoothweb website you are agreeing to the terms and conditions below, whether or not you register as a member of the Bluetoothweb community.   In the event of queries, please e-mail us at admin@bluetoothweb.org  

1. Introduction
Bluetoothweb is owned and operated by WTIS, using outsourced webhosting and e-commerce facilities.   Visitors may access material on most areas of Bluetoothweb without registering as member of the Bluetoothweb community. Some areas of Bluetoothweb are however restricted to those visitors who have registered as community members.  

Bluetoothweb makes no charge for its basic access.  Additional material, goods or services ("Premium Content") may from time to time be made available to you via Bluetoothweb on a paid-for basis. Such content will be clearly identified and you will be requested to give payment details if you wish to make a purchase. 

WTIS reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to Bluetoothweb services at any time and may exercise this right without notice.  If applicable, notice will be given to your e-mail address as notified to WTIS.  

2. Use of Bluetoothweb Content
Most material posted on Bluetoothweb and distributed via Bluetoothwebnews, our regular e-newsletter, belongs to WTIS.  News material e-mailed or otherwise supplied to Bluetoothweb by Bluetoothweb members or visitors is done so on the understanding that it is to be included on the Bluetoothweb newspage and/or in Bluetoothwebnews.  Where embargo dates are requested in such news submissions, every effort will be made to respect these. Press release material included on Bluetoothweb is owned by the originating companies. 

Journalists and others may re-use a reasonable but limited amount of news content from Bluetoothweb and / or  Bluetoothwebnews free of charge, provided the source for each news item is separately acknowledged and the source, including URL, is cited in each case - viz  http://www.bluetoothweb.org   Other than as here specified, Bluetoothweb content may not be reproduced, modified or in any other way commercially exploited. 

Specifically you require written permission from WTIS to undertake any of the following:
    -     redistribute content (other than limited and reasonable use, as above)
    -     use the content to create a database in any form - manual or electronic - by systematically downloading and storing content. 
Requests to re-use content in this way should be e-mailed to WTIS at admin@bluetoothweb.org 

You are responsible for all use of Bluetoothweb made by you or by anyone else using your user name and password and for preventing unauthorised use of this information. If you believe there has been any breach of security, eg disclosure, theft or unauthorised use of this information, you must notify WTIS immediately by e-mailing admin@bluetoothweb.org 

If on registration (or on amendment of your registration details) you provide WTIS with an email address that will result in any emails WTIS may send you being sent to you via a computer network operated by or on behalf of your employer or college (or similar) then you warrant that you are entitled to receive emails at that address. You also agree that WTIS may refrain from sending you any emails to such address without notifying you, even if you have subscribed to receive them, if we receive a request from your employer or college to stop sending emails to that address.

4. Bluetoothweb Community Forums and News Facilities
Bluetoothweb includes bulletin boards, discussion groups and other areas that allow feedback to WTIS and interaction between users ("Forums"). While WTIS does not control the information posted to Forums by users ("Messages"), it reserves the right to delete, move or edit Messages and to terminate your access to and use of the Forums.  You waive any moral rights that you may have in regard to the Messages. You are solely responsible for the content of your Messages and you must comply with any rules posted by WTIS on a Forum. Specifically, you may not post, link to or otherwise publish Messages which
    -     contain advertising or promotion for goods or services
    -     contain any chain Messages or "spam"
    -     contain software viruses, files or code designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of Bluetoothweb or any computer software or equipment
    -     are unrelated to the Forum or the its topic
    -     are unlawful, threatening, abusive, libellous, indecent, infringe copyright or other rights of third parties or which contain any other form of illegal content
    -     disguise their origin 
    -     purport to be from someone other than yourself or which misrepresent any affiliation with any person or entity
In addition you must not collect or store other users' personal data or take any actions which  restrict or inhibit any other user from using the Forums.

By submitting messages to any Forum you agree to indemnify and hold harmless WTIS from all claims, costs and expenses (including legal expenses) arising from any Messages posted or published by you that are in breach of these terms.

Bluetoothweb contains information, news and messages submitted by users over whom WTIS has no control. WTIS cannot guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such content. Some users may breach these terms and conditions and may post Messages that are misleading, untrue or offensive. You must bear all risk associated with your use of Bluetoothweb and should not rely on Bluetoothweb in making (or refraining from making) any specific business or other decisions.

WTIS and members of Bluetoothweb  may also contribute material to the Forums in order to stimulate discussions and ensure the smooth running of the Forums. The Forums may also contain messages from special guests, such as industry experts, invited by WTIS. The opinions of these people are their own and are not necessarily endorsed by WTIS or by their employers or by other affiliated organisations.  Such opinions should not be considered by you as professional advice but simply as personal opinion.

By submitting Messages to any Forums you are granting WTIS a perpetual royalty free non-exclusive licence to reproduce, modify, translate, make available, distribute and sub-license the Message in whole or in part and in any form. This may include personal information such as your user name and alias and your expressions of opinion. WTIS reserves the right to contact you by e-mail with regard to your use of the Forums.

It is not possible for WTIS to fully and effectively monitor when Messages infringe the copyright of a third party or other third party rights. If you believe that a message infringes any legal rights that you may have, please notify WTIS immediately by e-mailing us on admin@bluetoothweb.org 

If you subscribe to Bluetoothweb's e-mail news service, Bluetoothwebnews, your use of the content received through Bluetoothwebnews will also be subject to these Terms and Conditions. 

5. Premium Content and Site Transactions
Premium content, materials or services may be provided on Bluetoothweb.  Such content will require payment of certain charges, which may be by credit card on-line, by bank transfer or by cheque. In the event that WTIS does not receive timely payment, WTIS may suspend your use of Bluetoothweb. You are responsible for the payment of all charges associated with the your use of Bluetoothweb.  If your use of Bluetoothweb is terminated by WTIS, you will remain responsible for any fees or other charges incurred by you until the termination of your rights to use Bluetoothweb.

WTIS uses the services of third party providers to allow visitors and users of Bluetoothweb to purchase products or services.  Your contract when purchasing products or services in this way will be with the third party partner.

6. Downloads 
Copyright in any software (eg screensavers, etc) that is made available for download direct from Bluetoothweb  ("Software") belongs to WTIS or its suppliers. Bluetoothweb also provides links to other sites offering downloads - in such instances downloadable material does not belong to WTIS.  Your use of any Software is governed by the terms of any licence agreement that may accompany or be included with the Software. Do not install or use any Software unless you agree to such licence agreement.

7. No Warranties and Exclusion of Damages
Bluetoothweb content is provided only for your general information and use and is not intended to address your particular requirements. In particular, the content does not constitute any form of recommendation, endorsement or advice and should not be relied upon by users in making (or refraining from making) any specific decisions. Bluetoothweb  is not intended to replace the services of independent consultancies or other suppliers.  Independent corroboration of information posted on Bluetoothweb and / or appropriate advice should be obtained before making any such decision. Any arrangements made between you and any third party named on Bluetoothweb are at your sole risk and responsibility.

Since WTIS obtains its content from a range of sources, including members and other industry contacts, and due to the nature of electronic distribution via the Internet, WTIS cannot give any warranty in respect of the site, its content, software or other services available.  Bluetoothweb services and content are provided on an "as is" basis, for use at the user's own risk.  WTIS disclaims all warranties, conditions and duties of every nature, except duties of good faith.  Due to the nature of our sources, WTIS specifically does not offer any warranty regarding accuracy, timeliness, completeness, comprehensiveness or ownership with respect to content.   In using Bluetoothweb you agree that WTIS will not be liable to you or any third party for any consequential or incidental damages, or for any other damages which may arise through your use of services offered through Bluetoothweb.

Bluetoothweb  contains links to other World Wide Web sites and to other independent third party sites, either directly or through frames. Where possible, WTIS  will make clear where such links are being made. WTIS is not responsible for the availability or content of Third Party Sites and will not be a party to, or in any way responsible for, any transaction concerning goods or services available from such Third Party Sites.

8. Privacy
WTIS respects your privacy and gathers the minimum needed personal information in order to provide an effective service to members of the Bluetoothwebcommunity.  Any information that you provide will only be used for the effective administration of Bluetoothweband to communicate with you.  Any information provided by you to WTIS is confidential and will not be passed to other companies or individuals without your express permission. 9. Changes to these Terms and Conditions
WTIBluetoothweb. WTIS may wish to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time in order to provide improved facilities on Bluetoothweb. Such changes will be listed with date of change on the Bluetoothweb  'What's New' Page Bluetoothweb after WTIS has published the fact of these changes on the 'What's New' Page, you agree to be bound by those changes. If you do not wish to be bound by those changes, you should cease to use Bluetoothweb after such changes have been published.

10. Sponsorship
Bluetoothweb may contain advertising and sponsorship. Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for ensuring that material submitted for inclusion on Bluetoothweb complies with international and national law. WTIS cannot be held responsible for erroneous information supplied by members or sponsors, but will seek to amend any errors brought to our notice within 3 working days.

11. Applicable Law
Bluetoothweb shall be governed by, and these terms construed in accordance with, English law.  The courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute which may arise in connection with these Terms and Conditions.

12. General
You may not assign, sub-license or otherwise transfer any of your rights and responsibilities under these Terms and Conditions.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms, which shall remain in full force and effect.

Failure by either party to exercise any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy. Headings in these Terms and Conditions are for convenience only and will have no legal meaning or effect.
