Inventel announces the availability of its mid-range, Class 2, Bluetooth Module 
Inventel’s Bluetooth strategy leads the way for the next generation of wireless communication with its first mid-range, class 2, Bluetooth module: Mini-BlueBird (ref. miniBLUEBIRD).

The Mini-BlueBird completes the range of Bluetooth modules from Inventel. In June 2001, Inventel was launching the first long-range, class 1, Bluetooth module : BlueBird.

Mid-Range Bluetooth Module:

  • Mid-Range : Class 2 (4dBm) output power and very high sensitivity ( –80dBm)

  • Audio capabilities included : 1 codec, audio interface for microphone and receiver included

  • High-speed serial port UART, SPI, I2C, free GPIO, ADC, DAC, analog audio, power supply.

  • Bluetooth 1.1 protocol layers included up to HCI

  • Point to Multi-point operation

  • Baseband and radio Bluetooth 1.1 qualified

  • Small size : 15 x 32 mm

Mid-range (» 40m)
The radio module with its class 2 (4dBm) output power and a highly sensitive receiver
(-80dBm) offers mid-range communication. Depending on the environment and antenna design, the range can go up to 100m.


Easy upgrades
Thanks to its MTP (multi-time programmable ROM) and fast UART interface, firmware upgrade is easy.

An easy and fast Bluetooth start
Based on Bluetooth 1.1 qualified components, it will open the door to the powerful capabilities of wireless communication in an incredibly short time.

With the evaluation board you will be in a position to start immediately the test of your application. The evaluation kit contains :

  • 1 miniBluebird module

  • 1 PC interface card

  • 1 demo software

  • 1 technical documentation

  • 1 technical support
