Siemens AG Austria announces the launch of the SieMo
S50037 Bluetooth module on the European market
New Siemens Bluetooth module offers complete Bluetooth V1.1
Functionality + HCI (Host Controller Interface) or Independent module
Siemens AG Austria, a leading developer of products and
solutions for radio and communication devices, today announced the European
market availability of the SieMo S50037, providing manufacturers with
complete Bluetooth V1.1 functionality (based on the CSR single-chip), as
well as compatibility with a major Bluetooth module.
A key advantage of SieMo S50037 is its ability to reduce
space and power requirements, thus reducing costs. The Bluetooth module
offers point to multi-point functionality with 7 slaves and homogenous
distributed data rate. Obtainable bandwidth capacity is full 721 kBits/s via
USB, UART and BCSP and to 1.5 Mbit/s high speed UART.
The SieMo S50037 has been integrated into the new Bluetooth
LAN access point " blue2net ", an innovative Siemens Bluetooth
product, launched simultaneously.
The SieMo S50037 is immediately available through
distribution channels at a suggested retail price of 32 Euros, depending on
volume. The PSE Pro division of Siemens AG offers development support for
integration, approval and qualification, enabling manufacturers to achieve
shortest time to market.
